You’re kicking off our ICONS series, lucky us!

Tell us a bit about yourself Abbey…
I’m a 24 year old sun-loving beach enthusiast! A little bit of sun and sea water is just bound to put me in a good mood. In my free time you will usually find me outdoors, bike riding, running or at the gym. Running is my sanity. I feel like a brand new person after a good run. After ticking off a half marathon last month, I’m now prepping to run a full marathon (hopefully next year!). As much as I love to be outdoors and keeping active, nothing beats cuddling up to my sister's Golden Retriever ‘Blue.’ He has a very special place in my heart!

How did you get into modelling?
I first got into modelling as a baby, although I only modelled then for a few years. I got back into the industry when I was 22. I worked on a few photo shoots for fun and I instantly fell in love with modelling and the creative aspect of it. One year later I met with my first big agency and signed with them! I’ve been ever so lucky to work with such incredible talented people & brands just like Therapy Shoes. What an awesome team!   

You have a pretty amazing style, who is your fashion icon?
Blake Lively, I mean no matter what she does, she does it right!  

We totally agree! Blake Lively is always on our mood board. 
Are you gonna tell us about your biggest fashion mistake?
Oh boy, there’s been a few fashion mistakes over the years. I vividly remember when I was growing up, denim shorts over leggings paired with a massive chunky belt around the waist was a huge trend. I think this was a pretty big fail but hey, we rocked it. 

 

*A staple pair of good black pants. Pair with heels and you’ve got a glam look or throw on some sneakers and you’ve got casual chic. 

   * Carmella Nude Heels (RRP $69.95) by Therapy Shoes! The heel height is perfect for day or night plus the colour is perfect. They are so easy to rock with a mini skirt or pants. 

   * A statement bag. If ever your outfit feels too ‘simple,’ a unique bag always brings it to life. 

 * Sunglasses! A bit of an odd staple, but if you’re anything like me and a little lazy in the hair and makeup department, then a pair of sunglasses will be your best friend (especially when your running late to day drinks with the girls). 

  * LBD- Little Black Dress. It just never fails! Those last minute events that have you freaking out, this gem always has you covered.  

 Do you have a life motto you live by?
‘It is what it is’ & ‘What will be will be’
These two mottos are something I tell myself almost everyday. It allows a level of acceptance I find calming on the mind when I begin to stress or overthink certain situations!
